Stand for Purity starting on Valentines Day!

Love is always in the air especially on or after Valentines Day! Its known as a time to give your significant other a lavish experience and to show how much you love them. Yep, this holiday brings in over $18 billion dollars in revenue y’all! Ad after ad, Valentines day is basically a great dinner date and a night cap. As Christians, you maybe tempted to be sexual with your significant other on this day. I am here to say, it is not worth it girl! Here are someways that you can remain pure on Valentines Day. Go Somewhere Public Flee from sexual immorality…- 1 Corinthians 6:18 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord with a pure heat- 2 Timothy 2:22 Whenever I tell people the boundaries bae and I have they either laugh or find it extremely inspiring. As believers, we need to make sure we are no setting up ourselves to sin against God. I know that my boyfriend and I are extremely affectionate. We love to hold hands and hug! However we know that hand holding and hugging can quickly change to something much more if we are inside alone. Don’t set yourself up sis! Go to a cute restaurant or somewhere in public (that is scenic). Involve Another Couple Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken- Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Accountability in your walk period is necessary! You may not have the funds to have a nice date outside your home, that’s fine, however invite another couple. My boyfriend and i go on a lot of double dates and have traveled with those same couples. We love the accountability and also the company. You can definitely invite another couple over and cook together, bake together or even throw a nice game night. Prayer For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.- Philippians 2:13 Although we are responsible for putting certain boundaries in place, our flesh can still get the best of us. We need to continuously pray that God gives us the desire to remain pure in those moment when temptation is real. This has helped me in my relationship for the past two and a half years y’all lol! I am sure that you find your significant other attractive and that just multiplies on Valentines Day. Stay prayed up sis!
